Finally!!! A Water World Sequel (TV Show) is Coming!

It's been almost 30 years since the epic "Water World" came out in 1995.  At the time it was the biggest budgeted blockbuster of all time, struggled through some bad press and rumors of being a flop, and continues on as one of the most iconic post-apocalypse films ever made.  There's even a Water World Stunt Show that's still playing daily at Universal Studios theme parks.  Last week, some announcements came from across the internets that Universal is finally giving us more of the story in the form of a streaming series.  It'll take place 20 years in the future and follow some familiar characters, but that's about all we know so far.
 
Listen in as MakeShift, along with guests, the Interpreter and Mickey Bang Bang, all hash out some ideas of what we think and hope the show will be.

"After the Apocalypse" Podcast / Interview with Chris "Mad Dog" Russell

I'm a huge PodCast fan, and I recently started listening to a new story-based pod called "After the Apocalypse", written by Chris Russell and read by Robert Weinheimer.  By the end of the first episode, I was hooked.  So today I'm going to share that first episode with you and have a discussion with Chris and get an inside look at the inspiration for the series and what you can expect from the full first season.
 
Chris's Bio:
Chris ‘MadDog’ Russell is a writer and long-distance-runner from the deeply forested hills of New England, where 9 months out of the year it’s really cold and the other 3 months the air is filled with biting insects. 
Chris is an aficionado of hard science-fiction with a particular fondness for apocalyptic and dystopian futures. He is the creator and producer of the “After the Apocalypse” serial podcast that tells the ongoing story of survivors of a modern plague.
In his spare time Chris is a husband, father, lover of dogs, and technology executive with a history of punishing himself in the startup world.

POX-ECLiPSE: Australia's First Major Wastelander Event

Pox-Eclipse will have their premier event in Aug and will be the first event of its kind in Australia.  For too long most Mad Max festivals have taken place away from Max's home turf, but that's about to change.

The Detonation Festival at Uranium Springs with Rev'Rend Lawless

There's a permanent post-apocalypse village hidden in the desert of Arizona where for the better part of a decade, Lawless has been putting on one of the countries larger post-apo festivals.  The location is home to 4 annual fests including one based on Fallout and another celebrating on Steven King's "The Gunslinger" series.
